Al+ernative Credentials

Just Start.

Many women believe they can't start a company because they don't have the credentials. The degree, the upbringing, the background, the know-how; where there is a will there is a way.

1st: Believe you can have it believe you deserve it.

Do This: Create a vision board of your time well spent. What does your ideal position look like? How many people are working with you? What's your timeline? First, just start with the idea you wish to see in the world.

2nd: Plan for productivity.

Do This: Create a realistic checklist. Checklists are a great tool for your brain to focus on results. The act of checking boxes will compel your brain to continue to focus on tasks at hand, an object in motion stays in motion, repeat.

3rd: Face your fears.

Do This: If you have a fear of public speaking, enroll in a public speaking course. If you identify as an introvert find opportunities to be surrounded y people in an atmosphere you would enjoy. Push your boundaries, being uncomfortable in the first sign to growth and development.

4th: Mind over matter.

Do This: If you you're feeling timid, tired, or overall defeated, stand up straight and strike a powerful, space occupying posture. Amy Cuddy speaks to this in her TEDx: Your Body Language Shapes Who You Are. A growing body of research states shifting into a smile, even when you're feeling unhappy, will increase hormonal and neuronal activity effectively reprogramming the mood of your day.

5th: Learn from the greats.

Do This: Create your own coursework everyday. If you're looking to become an entrepreneur you'll need a guide.
